What fall detection does
A sensor in the pendant watches for the sudden motion of a fall. When it senses one, it contacts our monitoring center on its own, so help is on the way even if the person is confused, hurt, or cannot reach the button. It works alongside the button, never instead of it.
No fall detection on the market catches every fall, and it can occasionally trigger when there was not one. It is a valuable extra layer, not a replacement for pressing the button. Always press it yourself whenever you can.
